Opinion.

I downloaded your product, and then updated the software. Then I ran it two times, and am glad I did, as your antivirus software found 16 files that were corrupted. I then removed them. Thanks for your software, and I am telling all my friends about your product. Thank you as other antivirus software did not catch the culprits. Frank.

I run a HP touch with windows vista and The Rising anti-virus Free ware is highly effective. I've yet to have any complications with it. I definitely recommendit.

Hopeless. After installing Free Rising Antivirus my computer just does not SHUT DOWN, even when a complete scan says "no virus"! I had to uninstall the whole thing and then only my system became normal again.

The download was very prompt with no trouble.
However when I ask for an update it comes back to me with a message saying "The network connection failed. Please check the network configuration."
The problem is that I don't know how to do that. I am running Windows 98SE. If you can tell me what steps to take to check the configuration and what to do to permit the network connection to work I would be most appreciative. All of my other usages of the internet work. I am on cable and not dial-up.

RAV is GOOD, RAV can clean any kind viruses when others anti virus can't.
I have use all future from RAV by free and that I can't get from others anti virus.

Performanance of Rising Antivirus

I downloaded and installed the software in my PC I even updated the software. since it been only two day of install it would not be better to jude and comment upon but sure i will be letting you know the performanance. at this movement is would like to inform you that when i opt for the complete scan of the system the soft got hanged up at a particular folder and when i tried to close the software was not responding, i need to restart the PC to resolve the issue. can you please let me know what was the problem.

Effective but Interface Remains Too Awkward

I really like Rising AV and have tested and compared it with many other commercial and free applications. Although much improved over earlier efforts, the program is still too complex and convoluted for most average users -- in part because the program does attempt to offer a very thorough series of security coverage for both live Internet, Email and system resources. Thus far, this aspect of failing to provide a simple interactive user Interface with very clear explanations and easy to apply, alter or disable features is the Achilles heal of many otherwise fine AV products. Avast remains the superior product for a free AV product, but it also could be improved with a really clean, easily understood interface. It seems to me that the latest generation of these products that incorporate a "suite" of security features manage to build good anti-virus products, but have little regard for the end user and their abilities to make sense of the controls and what they do. Controls are often either too weirdly granular or fail to be granular enough to suit the user.

Rising AV also does use up quite a bit of resources in operation compared with Avast or AVG, and a user should be careful to fully backup their data, set a restore point and disconnect any Internet connection prior to removing or turning off the AV interface. Failure to do so, will result in a multitude of threats flooding through the firewall layer, because Rising does not turn the Windows Firewall back on, when it has its own Firrewall functions disabled or removed.

All that being said, I would give this 4 out of 5 stars and look forward to improved future offerings. Considering the relative youth of the product and the difficulty in language conversion from Chinese to English, Rising offers a lot of power and full quality features for a free Security Suite.
